Loading Events

Continuum Behavioral Health is offering two Online Social Skills Groups this Spring. The Pre-Teen Group is geared for individuals between the ages of 9-14 years.  Our Teen/Adult Group is geared for individuals between the ages of 15-21 years.  Both groups are taught by a licensed BCBA that utilizes the PEERS ® Curriculum to teach and practice a variety of social skills.  Each week consists of a social group meeting for the participants to learn and practice skills followed by a parent meeting to learn the next week’s lessons and how to support their child.  All meetings take place through our HIPAA compliant video-conferencing software, Zoom.  Meetings will take place each week on their designated days through a secure online meeting link.  Here are the group meeting dates:

  • Pre-Teen Group: Meetings every Tuesday from 5-7pm EST from March 10th to April 21st via Zoom videoconferencing
  • Teen/Adult Group: Meetings every Saturday from 12-2pm EST from March 28th to May 2nd via Zoom videoconferencing

Additionally, we are offering an Advanced Social Skills Group that focuses on Online Safety.  We understand that many teens enjoy playing online games and social media is growing in popularity.  It is important for teens to learn how to safely navigate this online setting.  This group is geared for individuals between the ages of 13-18 years.  Each week our BCBA will lead lesson on a variety of topics and integrate important social skills into the practice time.  Topics will include: email safety and skills, using social media, online gaming, and cyber bullying.  This is a 5 week course and all meetings will occur through secure videoconferencing links.  Meeting will take place starting March 16th to April 13th from 5-6:30pm EST.

Please contact Meredith Kimener if you have any questions or if you are interested in registering for any of these group.  The registration deadline is Friday, February 28th.
