The Relational Needs of Parents of Children with Autism

This presentation will highlight some of the neglected aspects of raising a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), specifically the emotional and relational functioning of parents. Participants will gain a better understanding of what research tells us how ASD impacts parents, as well as how family systems theories and interventions can improve overall parent and family functioning. Professionals and parents of children with ASD are all welcome to attend.
