Baltimore Jewish Film Festival: Keep the Change

Image result for keep the change movie
David and Sarah meet at a JCC support group for special needs adults that David is mandated to attend by the courts as punishment for making an inappropriate joke to a police officer. David and Sarah grow closer experiencing the typical difficulties of a budding relationship but with added complexities. The two are not an obvious match: David has a self-conscious awareness of his disability that tends to separate him from others, while Sarah’s charm and positivity make her the center of their cohort. A very real and tender story that casts into sharp relief society’s attitudes towards and treatment of people with cognitive differences.
